Spotify is at it again. According to a company blog post, the music streaming giant is hiking up the prices of its Premium plans for the second time in less than a year.
Starting in July, subscribers in the U.S. will have to shell out even more cash for their ad-free tunes.
The Individual plan is getting hit with a $1 increase, bumping the monthly cost from $10.99 to $11.99. That’s a 10% jump for those keeping score at home.
The Duo plan, which offers two accounts, is getting socked with a $2 hike, rising from $14.99 to $16.99 per month.
And if you’re part of a Spotify Family plan, get ready to cough up an extra $3, as the monthly cost is skyrocketing from $16.99 to $19.99.

But hey, at least students get a break. Their $5.99 monthly subscription will remain unchanged.
Spotify claims the price hikes are necessary so it can “continue to invest in and innovate on our product features and bring users the best experience.” Apparently, that means charging us more for the same service.
This is the second price increase since July 2023, when Spotify bumped up the costs of all its Premium plans. Will users stick around or jump ship to competitors like Apple Music and Tidal, which are now cheaper?
For the ones who end up jumping ship (I can’t blame them), here’s a quick guide on how to cancel Spotify Premium. God speed.
