Wrist Drones: This is the next big deal in wearable technology
The next big think in wearable technology are wrist drones. Yes, that’s right, wrist drones!
Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.
If you’re a drone fanatic like me, then this will blow your mind. The Nixie is a wearable selfie drone that attaches to your wrist.
Here’s how it works:
With a gesture, you’ll be able to tell the quad-copter to unfold, which will cause it to take off from your wrist. From there, the drone will adjust to squeeze you into the frame and proceed to take a picture. When it’s done getting the shot you’ll most likely share to everyone and their mother, the drone will hover back to you. You’ll just have to catch it from there.
To be honest, Im’ a little unclear on that part. Doesn’t really seem safe to “catch” a drone.
Hold your horses
Unfortunatley, you won’t be able to pick one of these bad boys up yet. It’s still in concept and is merely a “brainchild of Christoph Kohstall (a physics researcher at Stanford), and is built in collaboration with team members Jelena Jovanovic and Michael Niedermayr”, reports TechCrunch.
