Apple refreshed the Apple Watch Ultra 2 at today’s “It’s Glowtime” event, and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 was a no-show

Most of us expected Apple to introduce the next generation of its premium smartwatch. However, we only got an Apple Watch Ultra 2 refresh in a new “Satin Black” color.

While we are definitely disappointed, the new color looks way too good.

The original Apple Watch Ultra was introduced back in 2022 and was positioned as a rugged model for adventure athletes.

However, the larger screen and bigger battery made it the most attractive option for Apple Watch fanatics.

A year later, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 came out with a slightly faster chip, a brighter display, and improved ultra-wideband tech. However, the design remained unchanged.

Unfortunately, this year, we get nothing. The highlight of this year’s Apple event in terms of smartwatches is the Apple Watch Series 10, which was launched in a new, larger avatar. Apple may have thought only a handful of people would pay the extra premium for the new Ultra model.

However, the new black titanium is a good addition to maintain interest in the lineup.

Apple also mentioned that the new finish is designed to be scratch-resistant. However, how it turns out in the real world remains to be seen.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 Satin Black starts at the same $799 and comes with a few new bands, including a new titanium Milanese band and a Hermés band.

Would you buy an Apple Watch Ultra 2 because of this new color? Or would you rather get the Apple Watch Series 10? Let us know your preference below in the comments, or reach out to us on our Twitter or Facebook.
