Apple’s latest event took place today and among the announcements was the reveal of the third generation Apple AirPods.
The form factor has been updated and the newest version is also sweat and water-resistant. The new design is meant to deliver sound better and has adaptive EQ for providing a better audio experience to each individual user.
One of the bigger updates from Apple is the inclusion of spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. Essentially, this looks to better replicate a full sound signature through head tracking and not just sound coming from your left and right.
The latest AirPods from Apple look a lot closer to the company’s premium AirPods Pro, but skip out on the active noise canceling.

The new AirPods case provides 30 hours of total playback time and has MagSafe charging capabilities as well. Each full charging session gets you up to six hours of battery life, and five minutes of charge will give you nearly an hour of use.
The third-generation AirPods will be available for preorder starting today and will set you back $179. They will go on sale fully next week.
