Developer EA DICE has introduced a new trailer for its upcoming WWII-era game, Battlefield V. The title, which was first announced in May, returns to the roots of the Battlefield series. However, in this case, the game will focus on lesser-known stories and battles for the Second World War, even in multiplayer.

As DICE told Engadget previously, with Battlefield V, it hopes to “challenge preconceptions” of war. In doing so, the game isn’t focused on large events like the 1944 Normandy landings. Instead, it focuses on wartime areas less discussed like the North African desert, the city of Rotterdam, and the French countryside. Battlefield 1, which was released in 2016, took a similar approach, but with World War I.

As previously announced, Battlefield V will feature several new multiplayer models, including the continuous campaign modes, “Tides of War,” “Royale,” and “Grand Operations.” The last one is an expansion of the “Operations” model first introduced in Battlefield 1 and focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war.

Like other big game franchises, the game is also joining the battle royale craze and includes a last-man-standing mode.

While there is still much secrecy over the game’s battle royale mode, we do get a small sample of it at the end, with DICE using a fire ring to push players into smaller play zones, similar to how Fortnite uses a storm to corral players.

Battlefield V is only the latest in a long series of Battlefield games that launching beginning with 2002’s Battlefield 1942. Each game focuses on a different war.

The newest game is set to arrive on Oct. 19.
