Here we go again. Another month, another batch of free games for Xbox players. Honestly, this is one of the weakest months I’ve ever seen from the service, but hell, free is free. Might as well download them and never think about them again.
Remember, to download these games, you must have an Xbox Live Gold account and to access them in the future you must still have an active account.
Free Games with Gold for February 2019
For the entire month of February, you can download Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. This is a spiritual successor to old-school Castlevania and if you are an old-school platformer fan, this is actually probably pretty nice.
Want Bomberman on your fancy Xbox One? First of all, why? Secondly, that is available for free this month, as well, from February 16-March 15.
More Games with Gold
In addition to the two games mentioned above, some older titles are coming to the service, as well. Check them out below:
- Assassin’s Creed Rogue — Feb. 1-15 (Xbox 360)
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy — Feb. 16-28 (OG Xbox)
Overall, it’s not a terrible month, especially if you like classic platformers, thanks to Bloodstained, but it would have been nice to see something, anything, a little more mainstream hit the list this month.
