With the upcoming Unpacked event fast approaching, expectations for Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup are building, with a significant focus on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

A new report from Android Authority reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will support a higher brightness and faster storage option than its predecessor.

A recent leak from Ice Universe has also revealed that the S25 Ultra will exclusively feature second-generation Corning Gorilla Armor Glass with improved anti-reflective properties.

The new Gorilla is rumored to offer better durability than the original Gorilla Armor introduced with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which offered exceptional durability through ion-exchange treatment.

By improving its anti-reflective abilities, the new glass could further improve visibility in various lighting conditions, further boosting the S25 Ultra’s rumored brighter display.

In terms of performance, the S25 Ultra will utilize high-speed UFS 4.0 storage, which will provide faster data access and seamless multitasking.

However, one notable omission is support for Find My Device while powered down—a feature available with its competition like the Google Pixel 9 series—a drawback for the device’s security and recovery.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to retain its predecessor’s 3120×1440 resolution but may achieve an impressive maximum brightness of 3,000 lux in high-brightness mode, surpassing the S24 Ultra.

Alongside the display improvements, the S25 Ultra will maintain a 5,000mAh battery, consistent with the previous model, providing a strong battery backup.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in late January is expected to reveal the entire S25 lineup, including the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim.

The S25 Ultra is poised to be the flagship model, offering premium build quality, improved technology, and top-tier performance.

While some features, such as the battery capacity and resolution, remain unchanged, incremental improvements like the advanced Gorilla Armor Glass, UFS 4.0 storage, and brighter display will offer an improved user experience.
