The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is on the verge of release, with leaks suggesting a launch within weeks and potential availability soon after.

While the spotlight of next month’s Unpacked event is expected to be on the Galaxy S25 flagship trio—comprising the standard Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra—Samsung is also rumored to unveil a new variant, the Galaxy S25 Slim

The Galaxy S25 Slim aims to offer a flagship smartphone experience with a thin design.

A new rumor surfaced online reveals how Samsung plans to ship the Galaxy S25 Slim with a compact design without compromising its camera setup.

Samsung to use ALop technology with Galaxy S25 Slim to maintain compact design

One of the main challenges of creating slimmer smartphones has been accommodating advanced camera systems, particularly telephoto lenses, without increasing overall thickness.

While manufacturers have innovated in this area, larger camera sensors often necessitate design trade-offs.

To address this, tipster Jukanlosreve on X/Twitter says Samsung plans to debut its ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) technology with the Galaxy S25 Slim

This camera architecture promises to reduce the module length by 22 percent compared to traditional folded optics.

By incorporating a prism with a 40˚ tilt and a sensor assembly tilted at 10˚, ALoP enables slimmer phones with a reduced camera bump, offering a more seamless and elegant design.

By using the ALoP technology, Samsung will be able to maintain the compact design of the Galaxy S25 Slim while fitting flagship camera sensors in it.

However, the timeline of the Galaxy S25 Slim’s release remains unclear.

Some reports suggest that Samsung will reveal the Galaxy S25 Slim at the Unpacked event, with a mid-2025 launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

Others speculate that the Slim variant could debut simultaneously with the Galaxy S25 series in February 2025.
