Samsung is prepping the Galaxy Watch 6 series for the official launch at the upcoming Unpacked event, which will be held in Korea in a few weeks.
Multiple leaks revealed most details about the Galaxy Watch 6 series in the past months. However, some new information has come to light, courtesy of 9to5Google and their source, Android developer Dylan Roussel.
Galaxy Watch 6 series model number and names

According to 9to5Google, the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series will feature two watch variants-the Standard Watch 6 and the Watch 6 Classic.
Previous leaks already insinuated the same; however, this time, the Google Play certifications more or less confirm the fact. However, the certifications don’t reveal much, but they confirm the official names of the devices, including their model numbers.
Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm) – SM-R930
Galaxy Watch 6 (44mm) – SM-R940
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (43mm) – SM-R950
Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (47mm) – SM-R960
The older Galaxy Watch 6 leaks have indicated that the main difference between the two watch variants will be the size and the fact that Watch 6 Classic is equipped with a physical rotating bezel, similar to what we have seen on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

The standard Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic are expected to be available in two sizes. The standard variant will reportedly come in 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Watch 6 Classic will be available in 43mm or 47mm.
Nevertheless, only a few weeks left for the official launch. Everything will be revealed then. Samsung is also expected to launch the One UI 5 Watch based on Google’s Wear OS 4 alongside the Watch 6 series, while the public beta is already available.
