New OnePlus Fold leak suggests competition to Samsung
The spec sheet for the OnePlus Fold got leaked. And it seems like, OnePlus’s device will be a serious contender for Samsung.

OnePlus has a diverse range of devices for every tech segment. They started with the OnePlus smartphone, followed by the OnePlus Buds, OnePlus TV, and, most recently, the OnePlus Tablet.
Now, the company is expanding its lineup with the OnePlus Fold, a new foldable smartphone targeting the global market.
Recently, we received a few renders of OnePlus’s foldable, courtesy of OnLeaks, and Smartprix-providing us with a glimpse at the stunning new device the company is developing.
However, OnLeaks and MySmartPrice are back again with a complete spec sheet for the OnePlus Fold.
According to the leak, the device is getting flagship treatment from OnePlus, equipping it with top-tier hardware. Ideally, the device could become a competition for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5.

According to OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, the OnePlus Fold is coming with a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED internal display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED external display.
Both displays are expected to support a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, the leak didn’t reveal whether the variable refresh rate feature will be available.
In terms of chipset, OnePlus is going with the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The latest Qualcomm chipset will be paired with 16GB memory and 256GB storage. The leak doesn’t show if OnePlus will launch more storage options.

The biggest question mark for the OnePLus Fold is the camera; thankfully, it’s not disappointing. The leak reveals the OnePlus Fold could sport a 48MP primary shooter alongside a 48MP ultrawide sensor and a 64MP telephoto camera sensor.
The device is expected to have a 32 MP selfie camera on the cover screen and a 20MP shooter on the internal screen.
Additionally, it will boast a significantly larger 4,800 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, although there is information about wireless charging yet.
In terms of features, OnePlus’s first foldable smartphone will likely include an alert slider, a fingerprint scanner on the side, and run OxygenOS 13.1, based on Android 13 out of the box.
Rumors suggest a potential August launch, so stat tubed for more leaks in the coming months.
