Google usually holds the official Google Pixel showcase event in early October. With component supplies improving, we were expecting this year to have no delays.
And boy, we were right. The Mountain View company has officially announced the Google Pixel 8 event, and it’s at the beginning of October.
The Pixel 8 event is coming

Over the past few months, we have been flooded with the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2 news as we get closer to the launch date.
Even Google most recently revealed an image of the Pixel 8 Pro on its promo page. It was accidental, but a happy accident nonetheless.
And yesterday, early in the morning, Google finally let the cat out of the bag, announcing its annual Pixel Hardware event.
The Made by Google event will take place in New York City on Wednesday, October 4th, at 10 a.m. ET.
According to the invitations, it will be an in-person event, and Google will live-stream it on YouTube and the Google Store website.
While Google waited for the one-month mark before sending out invites last year, this year, they started sending invitations well over a month before the event. Just 24 hours after Apple’s iPhone 15 event announcement.
Regarding what will be unveiled at the event, we expect the Google Pixel 8 series smartphones and the Pixel Watch 2 to be showcased.
Thanks to the numerous leaks received in the past few months, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Pixel 8 series and Watch 2 regarding design and specs.
Additionally, we could see an update for the Pixel Buds A-Series and Pixel Buds Pro. Other than these products, not much is known at the moment.
