Google shows off Pixel Watch 2 in yet another teaser
Pixel leaks are in full swing.
In the quest to outmaneuver the leaks, Google’s marketing team has ramped up the ad production. We have been getting one ad after another, revealing each and every Google product rumored to appear in the October event.
Google’s teaser mania began with the very first “The W8 is Almost Over” teaser, followed by a sneak-peek teaser showcasing Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and finally, another sneak-peek teaser for the Pixel Watch 2.
As usual, the latest video was posted on the Made by Google YouTube channel, providing the best look yet at the upcoming Pixel Watch 2.
IP68 rating for the Pixel Watch 2
The video displayed the Pixel Watch 2 from every angle: front, back, and sides. Yesterday’s video already confirmed that Watch 2 will feature a design similar to the original Pixel Watch.
Google is keeping the domed design, the rotating crown, and a button next to it like the previous generation smartwatch.
However, there are some notable differences. We had a slight glance at the back of the smartwatch, where a few feature details are etched on the metal.
One of these features turns out to be an IP68 rating, which is surprising, as the original Pixel Watch had no such certifications. The Pixel Watch 2 is also certified for 5 ATM.
The video doesn’t provide a clear look at the back, making the information difficult to see. But think it is water resistance up to 50m, an electrodermal activity sensor (EDA), a heart rate sensor, sleep tracking, and an oxygen saturation sensor (SpO2).
Additionally, we get a good look at the back of the smartwatch, and they are arranged in a 3×3 pattern.
The Google Pixel event is scheduled for October 4th, where the Mountain View company is all set to launch the Pixel 8 series, and the Pixel Watch 2 will also be launched alongside them. And everything will be available for pre-order on the same day, as mentioned at the bottom of the video.
