The latest iPhone SE 4 rumor reveals a March 2025 release window for Apple’s upcoming affordable smartphone. Moreover, the camera modules of the upcoming iPhone SE will go into mass production in December 2024.

Usually, iPhone hardware components go into production three to four months before the device sees the light of day, so there is a high chance that the iPhone SE 4 will be indeed released in March 2025.

iPhone SE 4 could be just a few months away

According to South Korean source AjuNews (Via Jukanlosreve on X/Twitter), LG Innotek is set to start mass-producing the iPhone SE 4’s camera modules in December.

This timeline typically aligns with a phone launch about three to four months later. This suggests that the iPhone SE 4 could arrive in March, like the previous models.

This information is consistent with previous leaks, including one from reliable source Mark Gurman, who hinted that the release would be between March and June.

Leaks indicate that the iPhone SE 4 will have a larger 6.1-inch screen compared to the 4.7-inch display of the iPhone SE (2022).

However, there’s some uncertainty about whether it will feature a notch or Apple’s newer Dynamic Island design.

The new model is also expected to have a single-lens camera, which could be upgraded to a 48MP sensor, and feature a 12MP front camera.

It might support Apple Intelligence and draw power from an A18 chip paired with 8GB of RAM. This would offer a significant performance boost over the previous SE version.

Moreover, the battery capacity will also be reportedly more than the previous model, upgrading from a 2,018mAh cell to a 3,279mAh battery.

Apple will likely also switch to USB-C charging for the latest iPhone SE, complying with the EU regulations.

Apple aims to keep the iPhone SE’s price under $500, so the latest model will likely start within that price range.
