Nintendo’s Switch Online service is in full swing and now the company is gearing up for another three retro releases for the $20 per year subscription service.
Announced this week, gamers will be able to enjoy the likes of Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack, and TwinBee starting on November 14.
Retro games available through Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo continues to add games to the service, with last month seeing titles NES Open Tournament Golf, Solomon’s Key and Super Dodge Ball.
The new games in November join over 20 other offerings from the retro gaming portion of the subscription service. Other notable titles include Dr. Mario, Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong.
Personally, this month is a bit less exciting, but Metroid definitely helps make up for the other two titles.
More about Nintendo Switch Online
For $20 a year, Nintendo gamers get access to a bunch of online features through the Nintendo Switch console. With it, you get cloud saves more many games (a great feature considering saves can’t be transferred on the console), as well as the ability to play multiplayer games like Splatoon 2 online, as well as the virtual console referenced above.
One thing to keep in mind with the service, and it’s a big one, is that if you decide to no longer continue your Online service, you’ll need to make sure you have games saved locally, as those cloud saves will eventually be deleted.
