Nintendo revealed their 2nd quarter financial results, and they have shown that the Switch is clearly meeting all the hype.

Nintendo clearly listened to their customer base with the Switch, and of course, it helps they have delivered two top 5 games of all time, all within 6 months. It’s a historic launch for them. Since the Switch has launched, it has sold over 7.6 million units as of September 2017, while the Wii U sold 13.5 million units since it’s launch back in 2012.

As far as more numbers go, the Switch launched with the highly-anticipated Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the game has sold 4.7 million copies. Right behind it is Mario Kart 8 which has sold over 4.42 million copies. Landing in 3rd, but still impressive, is Splatoon 2 with 3.61 million copies sold. All these numbers are before Super Mario Odyssey’s launch and Christmas season, so these numbers are due to rise.
