Answering the door is the worst. You rarely know who’s going to be there and it very well could be someone you don’t want to see. That’s why you need something like the Ring Video Doorbell.
Thanks to the glory of Amazon Prime Day 2018, you can now own one of these puppies for 30% off, bringing the total down to $174 for the unit. So, what exactly does the Ring Doorbell do?
With it, you can connect your account to your smartphone, tablet, or PC to get crystal-clear 1080p HD video. In addition to video, you can also hear what is going on outside your door, as well as use it as an intercom system so you can tell those bums outside to leave you alone.
It will react to the press of the doorbell, but there also infrared night vision available and live viewing so you can monitor your home even while away.
Ring works with Amazon’s Alexa and they are celebrating that integration by also offering a Ring bundle deal that includes a video-screen equipped Echo Show. With eight microphones on the Show and a 7″ screen, you can be assured it will pick up your voice and show you clearly who is at your door.
Answering the door is only slightly better than answering a call from someone not in your contacts list. Amiright?
