By this point, I’m sure you’re familiar with the Telltale Games shuttering, as well as the abrupt way in which the company told the team. While the people in these scenarios should always be our first priority, many were also curious about the fate of the various games that were supposed to be coming, as well as what would have to the final episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
Now, it seems, Skybound Entertainment will be taking over to finish Clementine’s story. Now, this is very interesting because Skybound Entertainment is run by Robert Kirkman, who is actually a co-creator of The Walking Dead comic series.
The news was announced in a tweet over the weekend.

Skybound Games will finish The Walking Dead episodic season
According to Variety, Skybound Entertainment, and in turn, its new game development sector, Skybound Games, will work with members of the Telltale Games team to see the story to completion. No word yet if those working on it are part of the remaining skeleton crew or if they will bring others that were laid off back in to complete the episodes.
Saturday, during New York Comic-Con, Kirkman told an eager audience, “We’ve successfully negotiated with Telltale Games for our company Skybound to come in and see Season 4 of the Telltale game to completion. We can’t lose Andrew Lincoln and Clementine in the same year.” Lincoln, who played Rick Grimes in the show, will be leaving the show this season.
