The Sony E3 press conference for 2018 won’t be like past events. Instead of focusing on new game announcements, the PlayStation maker will spend its time talking about four games previously revealed.
As Sony explains:
In a rare break from tradition, we wanted to give you an early glimpse at what to expect heading into the Showcase on June 11. PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios will be at E3 in full force to provide you with an exclusive look at four upcoming titles: Death Stranding from Kojima Productions, Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch, Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games, and The Last of Us Part II from Naughty Dog.
Don’t worry, E3 will still feature announcements from third-party publishers and independent developers, however. New games for PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS VR are expected.
First held in 1995, E3, is the most significant gaming news expo of the year for the video game industry in North America. Presented by the Entertainment Software Association, or ESA, the event brings together developers, publishers, and hardware and accessory manufacturers.
This year’s event will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 12 through June 14.
PlayStation has been in the news a few times in recent days. Last week, God of War became Sony’s fastest selling PlayStation 4 game ever, while PlayStation Now banked on nostalgia and added PS2 games to the service. We also showed you the free PlayStation Plus games for May.
