The long-awaited Sega Genesis Mini is finally available to buy. Well, kind of, as you still have to wait until next month for it to ship.
Coming in at a fairly cheap $80, you get 42 games and two controllers for that cash, giving you everything you need to relive some couch gaming with a friend.
The Sega Genesis Mini is everything good about SEGA in a tiny package
Okay, so growing up in the early 90’s you were either a SEGA or a Nintendo household. Some of my friends had both, which probably said more about their economic band than any console allegiance. Anyway, if you wanted family-friendly fun you went Ninty, if you wanted something a little bit racier, a little bit faster, a little bit more bonkers, the Sega Genesis was the place to be.
Everything from crazy characters like ToeJam & Earl, Earthworm Jim, Sonic, and my favorite ocean mine-clearer, Ecco the Dolphin to more standard stuff like Golden Axe and Altered Beast packed their way onto the console. Now you can relive those glory days when SEGA was actually a console maker with the Sega Genesis Mini.
