I am so, so ready for Borderlands 3. I’ve struggled to find a new looter shooter since the original Destiny to really sink my teeth into, and Borderlands 2 will forever be a top 5 game for me, so news of Borderlands 3 at PAX East was everything.
Now, thanks to a deleted tweet, we may have a release date for the third game in the series. According to Wario64, and thanks to screengrabs, Borderlands 3 will be releasing on September 13. There was also a call-to-action stating that pre-orders will get a “Gold Weapons” skin pack.

Another interesting tidbit of information is that a deleted Twitter ad video also showed Epic Games Store branding during the 6-second Borderlands 3 video. Randy Pitchford of Gearbox followed up that leak with some words that may point to Epic getting a six-month exclusivity deal on the title for PC gamers.
Granted, these things happened on April 1st, so we’ll see what happens. Luckily, we will not have to wait long, as Gearbox stated more information regarding the game would be released on April 3.
What do you think? Hoping for that September release date? What do you think about it potentially being on the Epic Games Store? Let us know down below in the comments or carry the discussion over to our Twitter or Facebook.
