Since PlayStation stopped offering free PS3 and Vita games, Sony’s offerings have honestly seemed a bit underwhelming. This month still only sees two new games coming to the service, but at least one of the titles are almost guaranteed to get you pumped.
Remember, to play these PlayStation games you must have an active PlayStation Plus account, which will run you $60 a year.
Free PlayStation Plus games for June 2019
Yes, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is included in this month’s free games. The Handsome Collection includes remastered versions of both Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel. With Borderlands 3 hype building up, it makes sense to release this now.
If you’ve never played a Borderlands game, then do yourself a favor and dive into the world of Borderlands 2, if you like a good story, entertaining dialogue, and expansive looter shooters this is it, chief.
The other free game is Sonic Mania and honestly, I’m not familiar with it, but the description states that it is “an all-new adventure with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles full of unique bosses, rolling 2D landscapes, and fun classic gameplay. Sonic Mania brings retro fast-paced platforming into the future through pixel perfect 2D graphics running at 60FPS.”
It can’t be worse than the recent Sonic trailer, I can tell you that much.
