After skipping it a year, Samsung is reportedly ready to revitalize the Galaxy FE line in 2023.
For the past few months, we received a steady stream of leaks, including renders of the Galaxy S23 FE smartphone and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series tablets.
While we were absorbed with the Galaxy S23 FE’s FCC approval, a new leak appeared, revealing the devices will not appear at next week’s IFA conference but later this year.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE are reportedly set for Q4 2023
Renowned leaker Max Jambor has revealed that Samsung will host another launch later in the year, in Q4.
The company will focus on its Fan Edition (FE) devices alongside a few Internet of Things products in this launch.
Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE have seen considerable leaks in the past few months. We know they’ll look like the flagships, but have toned-down hardware.
For example, the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to ship with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the US, while on other markets, the device will feature an older Exynos chipset.
Similarly, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series would offer two variants with 11-inch and 12.4-inch display but won’t feature AMOLED screens.
In this same launch, Samsung will likely reveal the Galaxy SmartTag 2. The Bluetooth tracker was leaked recently, featuring a completely new design and UWB support.
We have also heard rumors about a new affordable pair of Galaxy Buds. We speculate its announcement alongside the Fan Edition devices.
As for the launch date, that’s not so clear. Leaker Jambor has only provided a Q4 window regarding the launch.
So, it will be between October and December 31st. Samsung historically doesn’t hold events at that time of year, so we expect the company to launch the devices before the holiday season.
