Google Pixel Watch 3 launches with two sizes and upgraded features
Google has announced its third-generation Android smartwatch, the Google Pixel Watch 3, which now comes in two sizes and features improved hardware and software upgrades, including a new Pixel Recorder app, Google TV Remote, and Loss of Pulse Detection.

Google has announced its third-generation Android smartwatch, the Google Pixel Watch 3, which now comes in two sizes.
In addition to the usual 41mm size, a larger variant (45mm) is available for those with bigger wrists who felt the previous generations looked and felt a bit smaller.
While the Pixel Watch 3 resembles its predecessor, it features several hawrdware and software upgrades that buyers might find useful.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 offers a refined design with a choice of 41mm or 45mm sizes, advanced health metrics, and faster charging. It's designed to be the perfect companion for both fitness enthusiasts and everyday users.
Google Pixel Watch 3 Hardware
The Pixel Watch 3 sports an improved display. The bezels are now thinner, enabling apps to show more content. It is protected by 3D Gorilla Glass 5.
Both Pixel Watch 3 models use a 320 ppi AMOLED LTPO (Actua Display) display with 2,000 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the Pixel Watch 3 uses the same Qualcomm SW5100 with a Cortex M33 co-processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage as the Pixel Watch 2.
Battery life remains unchanged with a 306 mAh battery for the 41mm model and a 420 mAh battery for the 45mm model.
In addition to the usual Bluetooth 5.3 with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and 5GHz, 4G LTE, and NFC, the Pixel Watch 3 supports Ultra Wideband (UWB) for improved Watch Unlock and Digital Car Keys (BMW and MINI).
Google Pixel Watch 3: Health and Software
Google has significantly improved its software this year. The Pixel Watch 3 gets the new Pixel Recorder app and a Google TV Remote to pause, change, and control the volume of the running media.
Google Home will also show live camera feeds; you can interact with them.
The health features have received a few nice tweaks. One nice change to the Exercise UI is the ability to swipe for Wear OS media controls.
The Fitbit app also has a new dashboard to analyze workouts.
Lastly, Google has added the Loss of Pulse Detection to the Pixel Watch 3 to contact emergency responders.
