If you are an avid Instagram user that also spends a lot of time on your computer, being able to browse Instagram and send DMs is great, but you’ve never been able to actually post anything to your feed.
That’s all changing now. Instagram announced this week that it is adding posting functionality for desktop users. The feature has been in testing since at least June and now it is rolling out everywhere. The feature will be available on October 21.
This news comes from Mashable and other sources, but we’ll update when Instagram releases a blog post about the new feature.

This has been a much-requested feature, as photographers and other content creators like the ability to post their content directly from the source and not from sending it to their smartphone, possibly having to make additional edits, and then posting it.
The Instagram app is also getting some updates. This includes a Live Mode testing option, collaboration posts with other users, and more.
