Kyrie Irving is likely advising Elon Musk now because, unexpectedly, Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) has decided to bring back Kanye West’s account.
Much like other eyebrow-raising choices made by Elon Musk’s X, is raising more than a few skeptical eyebrows. It’s like watching a potential train wreck in slow motion.
Let’s not forget, Kanye West, or should we say Ye now, got himself into some serious trouble on Twitter back in December. He was suspended for sharing a string of tweets that were not only controversial but downright offensive.
We’re talking about tweets that included antisemitic content and even featured a disturbing image that combined a Nazi swastika with the Star of David. Yea, the usual classic behaviour you would expect to see from him.
Elon Musk, never one to shy away from making a statement, later explained that West’s suspension was due to his incitement to violence. Well, that’s not exactly the kind of behavior you want from someone with such a massive following.
Fast forward seven long months, and lo and behold, the owner of X has apparently had a change of heart. Kanye West’s Twitter account, with its whopping 31.6 million followers and that coveted gold verification badge, has been brought back from the dead. It’s, folks, and ready to stir up some controversy once again
According to The Wall Street Journal, Kanye West’s Twitter account will not feature any advertisements. Additionally, he will not be able to earn money through Elon Musk’s new revenue-sharing program.
It seems that his account was reinstated with the condition that he refrains from posting any hateful or antisemitic content. As of now, Kanye West has not made any new posts on Twitter.
After assuming control of Twitter, Elon Musk wasted no time in lifting bans on numerous accounts, many of which were affiliated with right-wing individuals.
Recently, X temporarily banned the account of a prominent right-wing influencer due to allegations of sharing inappropriate content involving minors. However, the account was eventually reinstated later on the same day.
