Rockstar Games just dropped another Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer (again)
Just release the damn game already, Rockstar.
Rockstar Games, the gaming developer who delayed the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 like, a gazillion times, just released another trailer for its much-awaited open-world Western. This new footage gives a closer look at the game’s story and background. Still no actual gameplay footage, which is surprising, but we’re trying to keep the faith over here.
Rockstar Games explains:
America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.
After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
Sound good, right? You bet your ass it sounds good. At this point, anything does, release the damn game already.
Back in 2016, Rockstar Games announced it was releasing the game along with a trailer but then pushed back that date and said the game would be delayed for another year. Then, back in February, the developer finally announced a firm date for when the game would be released along with another trailer.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 26th.
