The Xiaomi 15 series is here, featuring an Ultra and a vanilla model. These phones come with everything you’d expect from a flagship Android device: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 80W/90W fast charging, Android 15 with HyperOS, and an IP68 rating.
However, with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, like its predecessor, the company’s primary focus is on the cameras, making it a more impressive device on paper. Let’s have a look.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra competitor is here
Xiaomi designed the Ultra model to deliver an exceptional camera experience.
It boasts a powerful quad-camera system, including a 50MP one-inch primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, and an impressive 200MP 4.3x periscope camera.
Xiaomi claims this 200MP lens achieves 200mm (8.6x) and 400mm (17.2x) lossless zoom, though this likely applies to resolution rather than optical clarity. A 32MP selfie camera rounds out the setup.

One noticeable downgrade from last year’s model is the removal of a variable aperture on the primary camera, reducing control over depth-of-field, focus, and light capture.
However, Xiaomi continues to offer an optional camera grip, which includes a 67mm filter adapter ring, a shutter button, and a 2,000mAh battery.
Besides this, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.73-inch QHD+ 120Hz OLED panel, a 5,410mAh battery, 80W wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Notably, its battery is significantly smaller than that of its Chinese counterpart, which has a 6,000mAh capacity.
The phone also includes Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0 on the front, an aluminum frame, and a Leica-inspired rear design. Xiaomi offers the 14 Ultra in Black and White shades.
Xiaomi 15: Compact design, remarkable specifications

For those seeking a more compact flagship, the Xiaomi 15 offers a smaller design. It features a 6.36-inch 120Hz OLED display with 2670 x 1200 resolution and 3,200 nits peak brightness.
Despite its size, Xiaomi ensured the battery remains competitive. The phone houses a 5,240mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging for fast power-ups.
Xiaomi also equipped the device with a triple 50MP rear camera system, including a 50MP Light Fusion 900 primary sensor, a 50MP 2.6x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The device comes in Black, White, Green, and Liquid Silver color options.
Xiaomi 15 series: Price and availability
Xiaomi set the starting price for the base model at €999 (around $1,037) for the 12GB/256GB version. A 12GB/512GB variant is also available, though pricing is still a mystery.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at €1,499 (around $1,556) for the 16GB/512GB configuration. A 16GB/1TB model is also available, but Xiaomi has not yet shared its price.
