HONOR has unveiled its latest foldable, the HONOR Magic V2. This isn’t HONOR’s first foldable – they previously launched the China-exclusive Magic V in 2022 and Magic Vs in February 2023.

However, HONOR claims the Magic V2 is their most ambitious foldable yet, and the thinnest on the market.

Measuring just 9.9mm thick folded and 4.7mm unfolded, it does appear slimmer than rivals like the Google Pixel Fold (12.1mm folded, 5.8mm unfolded) and other ~11mm thick foldables when closed.

In comparison, HUAWEI and Xiaomi’s foldable smartphones measured up to 11mm in thickness when folded and just over 5mm when unfolded.

HONOR says the V2’s titanium hinge cover is 150% stronger and 27% narrower than the previous Magic V hinge, rated for 400,000 folds.
