The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to arrive in early 2024. So, we are at least half a year away from the release, and that didn’t stop the leaks about Samsung’s S24 series.
We have seen multiple leaks in the past few months, and the latest leak is regarding the Galaxy S24 Plus.
The new display upgrade could do wonders for the Galaxy S24 Plus
According to prolific leaker Ice Universe on Twitter (now X), the Galaxy S24 Plus will feature a flat WQHD display. It may sound pretty straightforward, but it would be a notable upgrade for the Galaxy Plus series.
The Galaxy Plus series devices have been stuck with FHD+ displays for the longest time. The Galaxy S20 Plus was the last Plus series device to offer a WQHD screen, and that was back in 2020.
So, it goes without saying we are glad to see the return of the WQHD screen on the Galaxy Plus series, even if most people may not be able to differentiate between the two most of the time. But it is a necessary upgrade.
The Galaxy Plus series smartphone retails for around $1,000, while competing smartphones like the OnePlus 11 and the Google Pixel 7 Pro are cheaper but offer sharper screens.
The leaker also shared a mockup of the device to help us understand what it would look like. However, we are not sure about the source of the image, and whether it will line up with the actual phone.
