The next two Google Pixel smartphones probably aren’t going to launch until October. Despite this, we’ve seen various mockups in recent weeks purportedly showing what the new devices might look like when they are released. Today, a tech blogger in Ukraine has leaked what could be the first images and video showing a working Google Pixel 3 XL unit.
As Android Police first explained, the low-quality images appear to show the front and rear of the “Clearly White” device. Included in the images are what seems to be Pixel Bud-like wired USB-C earbuds. The photos also seem to confirm that this year’s Pixel 3 XL will contain a notch that’s similar to the one found on Apple’s 2017 iPhone X.
Previously, we noted that this year’s Google Pixel 3 XL should include two front-facing cameras and have a speaker on the bottom front bezel. The images published most recently show other specs including an octa-core Qualcomm processor, an Adreno 630 GPU, and a display with a 2,960×1,440-pixel resolution.
Both models should ship with the recently introduced Android Pie update.
Last year’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were revealed at a Google event last October, meaning we’ll probably be hearing much more about the 2018 Pixel models in the coming days and weeks.
In the meantime, Samsung’s expected to announce the Note 9 tomorrow, Aug. 9. One month later, Apple’s likely to introduce three all-new iPhones for 2018.
