As a Lepro ecosystem owner (I have several of their lighting solutions in my home), I was delighted to have the opportunity to review Lepro’s $159.99 O1 smart floor lamp.

So I jumped at it, and here is my review of another triumphant AI light from Lepro. Is it a Govee grinder? Let’s see!

Inside the box you’ll find the following bits ‘n’ bobs:

And that is all you need to light your room the Lepro way (which is brightly and colorfully). Just grab the Lepro app from your chosen app store, register, and you can connect to the lamp!

Lamp-ish Lepro looks

If you’ve seen a floor lamp before (which I imagine 99% of people reading this will have done), then you’ll know what the Lepro O1 AI floor lamp is probably going to look like.

However, for the 1% that have never seen a floor lamp before, I will describe its appearance.

Once assembled, there is a heavy circular base to maintain balance. Into this you screw a segmented pole, which requires assembly and which contains the power cable (keeping it out of sight).

At the top is where you attach the actual lighting element, which is cylindrical and about the size of a tube of Pringles.

The cylinder has a base, into which the pole screws, and which features the power button to turn the light on and off. The cylinder also has a head section that carries the microphones so it can react to sound.

The dimensions are 8.5 inches for the diameter of the base, and a height of 60 inches. Ours is a white color and comes constructed from metal (base and pole) and a mixture of metal and plastic (lamp unit)

And that, friends, is what the Lepro O1 AI floor lamp looks like. But does it delight in performance like other Lepro products?

Super smart strober

As mentioned, I have several other Lepro products, including several of their B1 AI smart bulbs and their TB1 smart table lamp, and they are great for parties and also excellent for just general ambient light.

Fully customisable in terms of the color gamut they support, Lepro’s products are perfectly suited to matching your mood with an appropriate light display.

So whether you want to chill in a warm amber glow, you want the lamp to replicate a lava lamp in time with some ambient music, or you want the thing going absolutely nuts with a graphic equalizer while you slay everyone at the house party with your Drum and Bass DJ skills, you can.

Simple ‘sembling

Assembly takes less time than finding a fresh AAA battery. Screw the three pole segments together, fix them to the base, and twist the cylinder on top.

Plug the brick into the wall, fire up the Lepro app, and the O1 pops onto your phone’s radar in seconds.

Registration with the Lepro app is mandatory, but once you are in, the app walks you through Wi-Fi pairing and spits out a quick tutorial so you can get straight to the fun stuff.

Awesome app chops

Lepro’s app is the real star in terms of controlling the O1. You land on a clean dashboard with four big tiles: Color, White, Scenes, and AI.

Color lets you swipe through a full chroma wheel or punch in HEX codes if you are picky.

White slides smoothly from a toasty 2700 K sunrise glow to a 5700 K daylight blast.

Scenes packs 30-plus presets; everything from “Sakura” (soft pink and white pulses) to “Arcade” (neon strobe meets Streets of Rage II).

AI is awesome too. Tap the mic or say “I’m feeling relaxed” and the lamp serves ten curated options that actually fit the mood. It feels nothing like a gimmick, instead coming across more like having a handy lighting designer on standby. Neat!

Scheduling, grouping with other Lepro gear, and remote control from outside the house are baked into the app as well.

If you already own Lepro B1 bulbs or the TB1 table lamp like I do, you can toss the O1 into the same scene so the whole room shifts in unison. This can have some impressive results!

Luminous light performance

The 2300-lumen output is strong enough to wash a bedroom or small living area with color. Whites stay even across the brightness range and RGB shades look saturated, not washed out.

Motion-responsive mics inside the head catch music with little lag, so bass drops land in perfect sync with color pops.

Lepro claims 16 million colors and, while nobody is counting (at least I wasn’t, I’ve got other things like life to do), the spectrum feels endless.

The lamp holds gradients without visible banding and the transition speed slider goes from snail crawl to rave strobe. It is simply a great smart lamp.

Nothing to moan about… really

If I was really gonna nit-pick, I would only have the tiniest of nits to pick.

My first pathetic gripe would be the lack of a dedicated remote. But, like, I have my smartphone to control it. If my smartphone is out of action, then a remote control would be helpful, though, so perhaps this is a viable semi-moan.

Only other whinge would be the inability to focus the light on certain areas spotlight style, rather the lamp bathes the whole area in the light it produces.

But even this foible would elicit a sarcastic “oh no” with accompanying shaky head and hands movement. It isn’t a major issue at all; if it is, buy a different lamp. *shrugs

That is it. Perhaps I am a little biased but I do love a Lepro product.

Beamin’ bulbishness. Buy it!

If you are already deep in Lepro’s ecosystem, the O1 is a no-brainer. It pairs quickly, brightens a room with punchy RGB, and the AI features feel polished rather than like a gimmick.

Similar floor standers lean on flashy effects but charge extra for comparable brightness. At $159.99, Lepro undercuts most rivals like Govee while tossing in smarter voice-driven mood lighting.

For newcomers looking to dip a toe into smart lighting, the O1 is equally compelling. Setup is painless, the app is friendly, and the lamp pulls double duty as both ambience and a solid reading light.

Unless you are married to Apple’s HomeKit or need a swiveling head for spotlight duties, the Lepro O1 AI floor lamp earns an easy recommendation.

Lepro’s O1 proves you can get bold RGB performance, clever AI scene building, and great ecosystem integration without paying OTT prices.

It is an instant upgrade for movie nights, game streams, and everyday ambience, plus you can never have too much RGB in the house.
