Qualcomm released a teaser displaying its future Oryon CPU, which will power the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. The only noteworthy reveal in the video is what seems to be the back panel of the OnePlus 13, which is still under wraps.

The displayed phone’s back design appears similar to that of the OnePlus 13, with its off-centered circular camera island design. Let’s check out what we can expect from the OnePlus 13.

Qualcomm released a teaser highlighting its upcoming Oryon CPU. The promo showcases the back of a phone that looks like the One Plus 13, with a circular camera island and three sensors situated to the left of the rear panel.

Besides what appears to be the rear of the OnePlus 13, the video shows Qualcomm’s new Oryon CPU cores, which will replace the Cortex CPU cores formerly licensed from Arm.

The OnePlus 13 is rumored to launch in China this month, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC will be officially announced in October at Qualcomm’s annual Snapdragon Summit, which will be held this year in Maui, Hawaii, from October 21 to October 23.

It is likely that the global model of the OnePlus 13 will feature a hardware configuration different from that of its China counterpart.

Rumors say that the Snapdragon SoC’s naming strategy will change again this year with its latest 8 Gen SoC. The chip may be dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Snapdragon 8 Ultra.

In either instance, Qualcomm is attempting to showcase a significant improvement in performance and possibly efficiency as well. Some believe the chip will be similar to the Snapdragon X Elite family, although it will be a toned-down version.

Regardless of which name the company picks for the chip that will power the OnePlus 13, we can expect a significant performance boost with the OnePlus 13 over its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
