Since companies often play pranks on April 1st (April Fool’s Day), people are naturally skeptical of any big announcements. However, OnePlus seems to have genuinely confirmed this phone’s release, despite delivering the news in a playful way.

OnePlus shared a teaser on its official Weibo account, which, while lighthearted, reveals a key piece of information

Near the end of the video, a OnePlus 13T box appears on the screen with a message that translates to “see you later this month.”

This strongly indicates that the phone will launch in April, at least in China. This timeline aligns with previous leaks about the expected release of the OnePlus 13T.

One of the biggest reveals from the video is that the OnePlus 13T is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

The OnePlus “T” series has historically been a mid-year refresh of an earlier model with slightly improved specs. However, the 13T appears to be a completely new entry rather than a minor update.

A major highlight of the OnePlus 13T, as per leaks, is its massive 6,200mAh battery capacity. This is much larger than what’s found in most smartphones, yet the device is said to have a relatively compact 6.3-inch screen.

This suggests the phone will use a silicon-carbon battery, which offers better efficiency. The OnePlus 13T’s 6.3-inch display is also rumored to have a 1.5K resolution screen.

A well-known leaker, Digital Chat Station, on Weibo suggested that the phone’s design resembles Google’s Pixel phones, while the user experience may feel similar to an iPhone.

If true, this could make the OnePlus 13T a unique and exciting option for those who want a powerful yet compact smartphone.

We expect more details of the OnePlus 13T’s hardware configuration and design to surface online in the coming days leading to its official release.
