We are over a month away from the release of Google’s next-generation smartphone, the Google Pixel 8 series.

Numerous leaks over the past few months have painted a clear image of the device. We even have a few leaked renders of the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro

But, this time, Google has jumped the gun and accidentally published images of the Google Pixel 8 Pro model on the official website.

Pill-shaped housing reveals the Google Pixel 8 Pro

The image was spotted by android_setting on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The image shows Google’s promo page for Google Subscriptions & Services, where the Pixel 8 Pro appears in porcelain. At first glance, it would be difficult to differentiate the smartphone in the image from the Pixel 7 Pro

Based on the leaked renders, which seem pretty accurate now, the Pixel 8 Pro looks identical to its predecessor, with minor cosmetic changes.

But there’s one significant difference that confirms the identity of the smartphone in the image.

Google Pixel 8 Pro has all three rear cameras encased in a single pill-shaped housing, which differs from the Pixel 7 Pro. It has a pill and circle design.

While the image doesn’t provide a glance at the smartphone’s front, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to feature a flat display,  a first for Pro-grade Pixels.

We won’t have long to wait to find out if the leaks are true, as the next Made by Google event is on October 4.
