Devolver Digital, the studio behind games like Hotline Miami, Scum, and Absolver are back again, this time with a tycoon game that wants you to sell weed. Legally. I think.
The new trailer for Weedcraft Inc dropped today and while it is light on gameplay, we do have an idea of what the game will consist of.
Basically, you sell pot. Weed. Marijuana. The Devil’s Lettuce. And while much of it could seem like your typical tycoon-type game, Devolver Digital does explain that this title will look at more than just having the best selling weed business in the city possible. It wants you to take that business to the national level and will look to explore the laws and hurdles people and businesses are currently having to overcome.
Take a look at Weedcraft Inc:
You’ll need to know when to take risks, who to partner up with, what politicians you’ll need on your side, while still trying to maximize profits and compete with other growers and sellers in the city.
Not much else is known about the game at this time. The art style is very bold and cartoonish, and while I get the style, it almost seems to work against itself considering the theme of the game.
Weedcraft Inc is scheduled to be released on PC in 2019. We’ve reached out to Devolver Digital for an updated release date.
