Stop the presses folks, Apple wants you to know something. The company’s first case is here. Laddy Frickin Da.
That’s right, the company that broke the mold in the world of smartphones is now in the case game. Well, sort of. They’re only offering a case for the latest iPhone XR and it’s completely clear so you can show off your phone’s color, which Apple released a total of six different options.
What’s so special about this case?
Well, nothing. And in pure Apple fashion, the company is selling the case for $39. Yea, you heard that right – $39 for a clear fricking case for a $750 iPhone.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Here’s how Apple describes it in its product description from the product page:
Thin, light, and easy to grip — this case lets you enjoy the look of iPhone XR while providing extra protection. It’s also crafted with a blend of optically clear polycarbonate and flexible TPU materials, so the case fits right over the buttons for easy use.
On the surface, a scratch-resistant coating has been applied not only to the exterior, but also to the interior. Need to wirelessly charge? Just leave the case on your iPhone and set it on your Qi charger.
Folks, it’s a case
Sure, all those fancy buzzwords sound nice and all, but don’t let them fool you into spending $40 on something you can literally spend $7 on. But hey, to each their own, I guess.
