Samsung may have leaked the Galaxy S25 series debut date

It is just speculation for the time being, but the January 5th date could be the start of Samsung’s Reserve Program.

Samsung’s next mainstream flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S25, is months away, with the likely speculation of a January launch.

While the Galaxy S25 leaks have been coming non-stop for the past month, a new leak related to a relevant survey may have revealed a key aspect: the launch date.

X/Twitter user IMEI Pham spotted the Korean OEM reportedly sending consumer surveys to random customers (via Android Police).

The Survey asked users (in Vietnamese) about the promotional aspect of the upcoming Galaxy S25 series

The survey’s introduction also details the rewards for users who complete it, which might have revealed the launch window.

The company states that upon completing the survey, the consumers will receive a “10% discount” on the Galaxy S25 series on “January 5,” suggesting Samsung will likely begin its “pre-orders” on that day.

The possibility of the Galaxy S25 series’s weekend debut is highly unlikely

While January is still widely considered the launch month for the Galaxy S25 series, the 5th of January date is strange, as it’s a Sunday, and it is doubtful that Samsung is planning a weekend debut.

In contrast, the Galaxy S24 series was announced on Wednesday, January 17th.

Meanwhile, the discount date closely matches the Samsung Reserve Program’s timeline.

Samsung began the Galaxy S24 Reserve Program in January of this year, roughly two weeks before the official Unpacked event.

This is the likely scenario for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung will offer the promised discount to the survey takers and launch the Galaxy S25 Reserve Program, while the official Unpacked event will occur sometime after that.

That said, there’s nothing else to add at this point. We have to wait and see what Samsung does when the time comes.

What are your thoughts on this S25 series leak? Do you think it’s a confirmation, or is it likely a placeholder? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below or via our Twitter or Facebook.
