All aboard the excuse train. Elon Musk is already trying to figure out ways to back out of his fight with Mark Zuckerberg.

According to a recent WSJ post, Musk announced he might require surgery before stepping into the ring. The billionaire has been open about his health struggles, including chronic back pain and grueling work hours that have taken a toll on his sleep.

Meanwhile, Zuckerberg seems to be all systems go for the showdown. The Meta CEO, known for his penchant for fitness and martial arts, is foaming at the mouth to give this a go.

As per a post on Threads, he’s ready for the fight today and has even proposed a date. “I’m ready today,” he said. “Not holding my breath.

The Musk-Zuckerberg face-off has been simmering for a while now, with the rivalry escalating after Zuckerberg launched Threads to compete with Musk’s X Corp.

Their anticipated cage match has the tech world on edge, wondering if two of the most influential figures in the industry will actually trade silicon for sweat in the ring.

Despite the health concerns, Musk has announced that the fight will be livestreamed on X, with proceeds going to charity for veterans. Yet, as a CNBC report notes, Musk’s potential surgery could delay this charitable brawl.

Iisn’t it convenient that just as the tech world’s most anticipated cage match is about to go down, Musk suddenly needs an MRI and possibly surgery?

Now, we’re not saying he’s faking it, but it sure does seem like a convenient excuse to dodge a potential ass-kicking from Zuckerberg.

After all, who wouldn’t want to avoid being body-slammed by a billionaire tech bro who’s been training in jiu-jitsu during the pandemic? It’s almost as if Musk is saying, “Oops, sorry guys, can’t make it to the face-off, gotta get my vertebrae checked.” Classic Musk move.
