Samsung is gearing up to release an entirely new Galaxy FE series lineup by the end of the year. According to the leaks, the new lineup consists of four devices: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, and Galaxy Buds FE.

While there have been multiple leaks regarding the rest of the devices in the lineup, today, we have our first look at the upcoming Galaxy Buds FE, which looks very familiar.

Samsung’s current earbuds are excellent, but design-wise, they are quite different from the original Galaxy Buds. Now, the first leaked images of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds FE reveal that the company is returning to its roots.

Galaxy Buds FE in a new-old design

Leaker @GaryeonHan posted on X (formerly Twitter) the Korean regulatory listing of a new pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds with the model number SM-R400N.

Leaker Max Jambor reposted it and added that the buds are called the Galaxy Buds FE.

The listing shows the image of the Galaxy Buds FE in real life, and they look very similar to the original Galaxy Buds. However, the cover plate has a different shape.

Overall, the design of these upcoming Samsung earbuds is quite different from the earbuds Samsung currently has in circulation: Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.

The image also shows that the Buds FE feature wingtips with stabilizers. Now, there are users who hate wingtips, but the idea is for them to hook onto the pinna of your ear to prevent them from falling out.

As Samsung has always stayed far away from the stem design, a stabilizer is the next best thing.

Additionally, Max Jambor mentioned in a separate post that the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and the rest of the Galaxy FE series devices will be launched “sometime later this year in Q4.”

So, it is safe to assume the new Galaxy Buds FE will be available alongside its FE peers, and we don’t have to wait until 2024.
