After launching its first budget Android smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a), young tech company Nothing has announced two new pairs of wireless earbuds: Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a).

However, this time, the company is abandoning its exciting numeral naming strategy and taking a different approach, which is interesting.

Regardless, leaks and rumors about Nothing’s unreleased wireless earbuds have been flying out for the past few days. Valuable renders, colors, and pricing have already been leaked, providing greater insight into the upcoming audio devices.

However, the new Android Headlines report reveals almost every other missing information about Nothing Ear and Ear (a).

According to the outlet, the Nothing Ear will be the pricey variant, offering features like dual-point connectivity and active noise cancelation (ANC).

The wireless earbuds offer up to 7.5 hours of juice while ANC is disabled and 33 hours of playback through the charging case.

They are also said to offer 10 hours of usage via a 10-minute charge of the case.

Meanwhile, the cheaper variant, Ear (a), will reportedly offer the same features. However, it will reportedly provide 8 hours of playback with ANC off and 38 hours with the charging case – it’s bizarre that the cheaper variant would offer a greater playback time with the same features.

Adding to the bizarreness, the outlet has revealed that the Ear (a) will have an IP54 and IP55 rating for the case, while the Nothing Ear is said to offer an IP52 rating for the buds and an IPX2 rating for the case.

At this point, we are guessing the rating has been switched. Otherwise, the cheaper buds have a better IP rating, which is strange.

Nothing is sticking to the same color scheme for its new wireless earbuds- mostly.

The Nothing Ear is expected to come in the usual black-and-white colorways, as is the Ear (a).

However, Ear (a) is getting a never-before-seen vibrant Yellow color option. The yellow color scheme somehow indicates a more eco-friendly design.

Either way, if you are a sucker for vibrant colors, the yellow option might be up your alley.
