Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.

So yea, apparently this is news. If you’re looking for a new smartphone, and it so happens to be a OnePlus 6, folks living in North America and India can choose from either black, white, or a new red OnePlus 6.

If you live in the US, the phone will cost $579 for a model with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, and will go on sale starting July 10th. Users in India can buy it for 39,999 rupees starting on July 16th.

The OnePlus 6 initially launched back in May and originally came in two colors: white and black. To date, the company claims to have sold one million units in just 22 days, according to The Verge.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau says in a recent statement:

Deciding on this color was not without its challenges. We see individual colors as a way to express certain feelings or ideas. To us, red exudes enthusiasm and personality. It also represents an inner confidence and courage. There is a kind of power in red, which the OnePlus logo has always tried to articulate. We hope you feel similarly empowered when you hold the OnePlus 6 Red this summer.

We’re not sure how this warrants a news post, I mean, a simple tweet could have sufficed, but here we are. I am now seeing red.

Do you plan on scooping up the new red OnePlus 6? Any thoughts on this? Let us know.
