Here’s how to reset most Blink cameras
Blink Outdoor cameras are an affordable way to add security cameras to your property. They're weather-resistant, go two years without needing to charge, and have motion detection for recording potential security issues.
Before proceeding with the reset process, we recommend you power cycle the Blink camera system and your router.
Power off both devices; wait for 60 secs, then power them on.
-
Reset the Sync Module
Turn your Sync Module over to get to the reset button. It’s on the edge nearest to the power socket.
-
Reset the module
Press and hold the reset button until the LED on the front flashes red. You might need something small to help, as the button is tiny.
-
Wait for it to reboot
Release the button and wait. You’ll know when to proceed as blue and green LED lights will blink instead of the red one.
-
Remove the Sync Module from your account
Once reset, the Sync Module will be in setup mode. Before you can use it again, you have to remove it from your account.
-
Open the app
Open the Blink app and tap on the Sync Module section at the very bottom.
-
Delete the module
Tap the red Delete Sync Module button. Confirm the deletion when asked.
-
Scan the QR code
You’ll have to scan the QR code on the back of the module to delete it. Then confirm again when asked.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the Sync Module and connected cameras will be reset and removed from your Blink app.
To use your cameras again, you’ll need to relink your Sync Module and cameras to your account.
