Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked kicks off July 26: Reserve and save $50

After months of anticipation, leaks, and reveals, Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Unpacked Event: Join the Flip Side. 

The event is scheduled for July 26th, and the company is all set to unfold the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 in Seoul, Korea. However, this will be Samsung’s first unpacked event dedicated to its foldable smartphone lineups. 

To promote the event, the company released a video titled “Join the Flip Side.”

If you’re keeping count, this isn’t Samsung’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023 – they recently hosted one earlier in the year to launch the Galaxy S23 series.

However, July 2023’s Unpacked event will be Samsung’s first hosting of an event for its foldable lineup.

However, Samsung’s foldable smartphones aren’t the only devices appearing at this event. The Galaxy Tab S9 series and Galaxy Watch 6 series are also expected to appear, adding further excitement to the event.

The Korean company stated it chose the location because it is “a place where traditional culture and futuristic visions intersect to inspire global trends and game-changing innovation.”

How to watch Galaxy Unpacked

As with previous events, the launch event will be livestreamed on Samsung’s website and YouTube channel, starting at 7 AM ET on July 26.

You won’t have to go to South Korea to watch along. The event will be streaming on Samsung’s YouTube channel, Samsung.com, Samsung’s Newsroom, and likely on Samsung’s metaverse.

Even though we anticipate seeing both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, Samsung appears to be putting more weight on the ‘Flip side,’ suggesting they might focus more on the Flip model.

Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is not getting much of an upgrade this year, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could feature a larger cover display. Nevertheless, all the details will be revealed on launch day.

Reserve now to get $50 in Samsung Credit when you pre-order

Samsung has also opened up reservations for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Those interested can save $50 when pre-orders begin.

The reservation process is straightforward. All it requires is your name and email address, with the option to provide your phone number; however, it’s not necessary.

Email notifications will be sent when pre-orders open, and potential additional incentives remain undisclosed.
