Xbox fans, brace yourselves for changes to your beloved Game Pass subscription. Microsoft is shaking things up with price increases and a new tiered system.

Beginning July 10, new subscribers will face the updated pricing, while existing customers get a temporary reprieve until September 12.

In the US, Game Pass Ultimate will jump from $17 to $20 per month, and a year of Game Pass Core access will increase from $60 to $75.

But the changes don’t stop at prices. Xbox is introducing a more affordable option in September: Game Pass Standard.

This tier will grant access to the Game Pass library, online multiplayer, and some store discounts – all the Core plan benefits, minus the day one releases and Xbox Cloud Gaming perks of Ultimate, at $14.99 per month in the US.

The Game Pass for Console plan is on its way out and will be replaced by the new Standard tier. New customers won’t have the option to subscribe, and current subscribers who cancel their auto-renewal will need to choose a different plan to reactivate their service.

Game Pass Core remains at $9.99 per month, but a 12-month subscription now costs $74.99, up from $59.99, and includes online multiplayer.
