Twitter finally took a stand today and suspended the accounts of Alex Jones and Infowars.

For those of you keeping score: Apple, Facebook, and YouTube have already removed him and his conspiracy theory blog from their platforms. Twitter now is the icing on the cake.

So what made the company finally decided to suspend him and Infowars? Well, it turns out he tweeted a video of himself confronting a CNN reporter yelling all sorts of crazy things, but in particular, he essentially called this reporter something along the lines of “the Hitler Youth” while spitting out the usual psychobabble he usually screams at people.

Thankfully, that was enough to for Twitter.

Back in August, Twitter suspended Alex Jones’ channel for violating Twitter’s policy against inciting violence. Sure, a lot of his fans will be bummed out by this news and will no doubt protest it to their little heart’s content, but the general consensus from folks in the tech industry was to drop the ban hammer.  Looks like their wish was granted.

We reached out to Infowars but they did not immediately respond to our request for comment. We’ll update the post if we hear anything back.

How do you feel about this suspension? Do you think it’s warranted? Let us know your thoughts down below in the comments!
