Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers get the chance to download a variety of games to download and play for free. There is always a variety available, with usually something for everyone. This month is no different, so make sure to check out the upcoming free PlayStation Plus games in January.
As always, remember that you must have an active PlayStation Plus account to download and play the games.
Free PlayStation Plus games in January
Headlining this month for the PlayStation 4 is the open-world snowboarding title Steep. In it, you get the chance to shred the pow of various mountainsides, while completing missions and unlocking new gear, boards, skis, and wingsuits. Is it the best snowboarding experience ever in gaming? No, but it is still solid, and for free, definitely worth the download.
Also featured this month is the sandbox title Portal Knights. Craft gear, explore randomly-generated islands, and bash in skeleton’s skulls – all while creating your own areas to play in.
Other games in January
In addition to the titles mentioned above, January also sees two additional games for PlayStation 3, and two for the Vita.
- Zone of the Enders HD Collection – PS3
- Amplitude – PS3
- Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion – PS Vita (Cross-Buy with PS4)
- Super Mutant Alien Assault – PS Vita
