Pixel 9 series renders and shipping details leak ahead of event

Google’s Pixel launch event is roughly two weeks away, and while we patiently wait with anticipation, the leaks show no signs of stopping.
We already had a look into all the Google Pixel 9 series devices more than a few times, courtesy of numerous leaks.
Now, another trusted source has posted more high-quality renders of the next Pixel devices, and they seem to be the clearest ones yet.
The latest Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold renders come from renowned leaker Mystery Lupin on X/Twitter. They provide a good look at the devices and their colors ahead of the launch.
While the latest renders don’t deliver new details, they line up with previous leaks. And the new Pink color looks pretty cool.
Google Pixel 9 series shipping date: Wait for Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be longer
Besides the render leak, a new report by Android Headlines claims to have discovered the pre-order and shipping dates.
According to the leak, the Pixel 9 handsets—Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL—will be available for pre-order right after the keynote on August 13, around 2 p.m. ET.
On the other hand, companies like Google and Samsung take about a week or so to begin open sales, and according to the report, Google is not deviating from that routine. Sales are expected to begin on August 22.
According to the report, the Pixel 9 series’ pre-order and shipping dates fall within the usual timeline. But what about the Fold?
Apparently, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will go on sale on September 4, making the gap between the launch and availability well over half a month.
On the other hand, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 will go on sale on September 26, with a gap of over one and a half months between the launch and sale. Unfortunately, the report provides no details on the availability of the Pixel Watch 3 series.
This is pretty unusual for Google, but we think it is all due to the company pushing the launch date two months earlier.

Google usually holds its Pixel launch event in October. But this year, it is holding it in August, which is putting unusual pressure on the company.
A previous leak even suggested that Google may launch the Pixel series this year with Android 14. Pixel launches are held as a critical juncture in the Android ecosystem due to the fact that new Pixels always drop with a new version of Android.
This year, it was supposed to be Android 15, but Google may be forced to proceed with Android 14.
