Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.

As we all know by now, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold is a galactic mess. Seriously, we’re not making this up. The company’s $2,000 folding smartphone has been plagued with a mountain of issues before its consumer release. This eventually made Samsung push back its launch date, and as far as we know, there has been no official word from Samsung as to when they plan on pushing them out.

That being said, according to AT&T, folks who pre-ordered the device from its website will get the phone sometime around mid-June. This is according to an email AT&T sent out to customers who preordered the phone. The email goes on to clarify that devices will start shipping out on June 13.

Now, this clearly doesn’t line up with what Samsung said a few days ago. To be fair, the company didn’t really offer a timeline as to when they were releasing the phone. So seeing AT&T jump the gun with this email speaks volumes.

Samsung told Business Insider it would announce a launch date in the next few weeks; a customer service agent also told them that it could be as soon as next week. Who knows, but it seems like AT&T isn’t tight-lipped about this.

The reason why Samsung pushed back its release date back is that it’s painfully obvious that they rushed manufacturing this phone. Seriously, early review units were breaking left and right. And for this very reason, Samsung said it had to delay the launch.

Either way, if you’re an AT&T customer and preordered this phone, expect to see it sometime around mid-June. But honestly, don’t hold your breath. Things can change very quickly, especially when it comes to Samsung.

Do you think AT&T’s shipping window is legit? Have any thoughts on this? Let us know down below in the comments or carry the discussion over to our Twitter or Facebook.
