Nothing has been stirring up quite a buzz in recent weeks, with leaked renders and European pricing details fueling anticipation for the forthcoming Nothing Phone 2, slated to launch on July 11th.

In tandem with this, founder Carl Pei is keeping up his dynamic marketing tactics.

Just recently, Pei posted a screenshot of his smartphone’s home screen to Twitter. As tech enthusiasts with an eye for detail, we immediately recognized it as being from the Nothing Phone 2 running on Nothing OS 2.0.

What does the new screenshot entail for Nothing Phone 2?

The latest Nothing Phone 2 scoop comes straight from founder Carl Pei himself, who tweeted a screenshot of his smartphone’s home screen and encouraged others to do the same.

However, several users—including renowned leaker SnoopyTech—quickly spotted that this was our inaugural peek at Nothing OS 2.0, which is anticipated to make its debut with the Nothing Phone 2 next month.

Interestingly, the screenshot also divulged some potentially key details about the upcoming device.

For instance, the time display situated almost at the left edge stands out when compared with a screenshot from Nothing Phone 1. This subtle difference hints at a possible centered selfie camera in the upcoming Nothing Phone 2.

Now, we get why Carl Pei called the earlier leaked images ‘Fake’ on Twitter. The leaked render showed an identical selfie camera to its predecessor.

However, it is still too early to reach a conclusion, as we don’t know much about Nothing OS 2.0. So, let’s just wait for the official reveal on July 11th.
