Samsung Galaxy Watch is undoubtedly the most popular Wear OS smartwatch in the market.
After its massive success with last year’s Galaxy Watch 6 series, all eyes are on the Galaxy Watch 7 series, rumored to launch within a few months.
For the past three years, Samsung has managed to keep its Galaxy Watch lineup simple and clutter-free, with only two smartwatches in the lineup, which is likely to change this year.
There have been rumors about an “Ultra” branded Galaxy Watch 7, which is likely to become a new addition to the lineup, and now we have high-quality renders for the alleged Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra has a surprisingly different design
The renders come from Smartprix in collaboration with reliable tipster OnLeaks. The first thing you will notice is the dial’s design, which is widely different from what Samsung has produced so far.
This is probably the first time Samsung is experimenting with the shape of its premium smartwatch.
The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra features a squarish design. As per the report, the shiny, protruding circular section serves as the rotating bezel, with Samsung opting to replace the numbers with grooves along its circumference.
The most interesting part is that the actual dial is round, surrounded by a squarish frame. So, the overall experience will be similar.
Additional button on the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra
The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra boasts an extra button positioned between the two standard buttons.
We’re uncertain of the button’s function, but the report speculates it could resemble the Action Button found on the Apple Watch Ultra.
On the back, we can see an array of health sensors, and it looks like the band design and attaching mechanism has also been changed.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra alongside the rest of the Galaxy Watch 7 series at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumored to be held on July 10th.
Thus, we must await confirmation to see if Samsung will indeed introduce the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra with this distinctive design.
